Gridlock 3D (app ID com.gridlock3d.game): Android phones, tablets and TVs, iPhone and iPad, Windows, macOS, Linux, and the web version at gridlock2d.netlify.app/3d/play · Last updated 6 October 2026

This policy explains what the Gridlock 3D app does with information about you. The app is made by Kayani Labs ("we", "us"), which is responsible for the information described here. Contact: gridlock2d.app@gmail.com.

In short: no ads, no analytics or tracking, no real-money purchases, and we never ask for your location, contacts or photos. Signing in is optional. To run online leaderboards and cloud saves, the game creates an anonymous player profile that holds your player name, your scores and a copy of your game progress.

What we process and why

InformationWhyWhere it goes
Game progress (in-game cash, cars, stars, maps you make, settings)So the game remembers your progressStored on your device (in the web version, in your browser's local storage). A copy is also kept as your cloud save (see below).
Anonymous player IDCreated automatically the first time the game goes online, so your scores and cloud save belong to you. It isn't linked to your name, email address, Google or Apple account unless you choose to sign in (see below). Our backend provider, Supabase (servers in London, UK)
Player name (handle)Shown next to your scores on the public daily, weekly and survival leaderboards. The game picks a random name for you, and you can change it.Supabase. Visible to other players.
Scores (your daily, weekly and all-time survival bests)LeaderboardsSupabase. Visible to other players, next to your player name.
Cloud save (a copy of your game progress)So a garage key can restore your progress on a new deviceSupabase. Only you can read it.
Sign-in account (optional, in the Android and iOS apps)If you tap Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive an account ID from Apple or Google and, if you share it, your email address (Apple lets you hide it behind a private relay address). We use them only to link your player profile so you can restore your progress on another device. The same sign-in works for Gridlock 2D. We never show them to other players or email you. If you use Sign in with Apple, we also keep a token Apple issues for it, only so that we can revoke your Apple sign-in when you delete your account.Supabase
Garage key (optional)If you tap GET KEY, the game creates a random key for restoring your save. We store login details derived from that key, not an email address of yours. Gridlock 2D uses the same key format, so one key can hold your progress for both games.Supabase
Launch waitlist email (optional, website only)If you enter your email in "Get it first" on gridlock2d.netlify.app/3d or at the end of the free web demo, we store it to send you one message when Gridlock 3D launches. We don't use it for anything else, share it or add it to marketing lists. We delete the list after the launch message has been sent, or sooner if you ask.Supabase
Feedback you send (optional)If you use FEEDBACK in the game, we receive your message, an optional screenshot of the game view (never your camera roll or other apps), and basic context to help us fix problems: app version, platform (for example iOS or Android), screen size and what you were doing in the game. It's linked to your player profile so we can follow up on bugs, and it's deleted when you delete your online data.Supabase. Only we can read it.
Early-access "Founder" badge (testers only)If you take part in early access, we mark your player profile as a Founder so the game can show the Founder paint and leaderboard badge. Other players can see the badge next to your player name.Supabase. The badge is visible to other players.
Play statistics (optional, off unless you say yes)Anonymous gameplay statistics, tied to a random number created on your device and not to your account. See "Optional play statistics" below.Supabase
IP address and basic connection dataEvery internet connection needs these. Our provider may keep short-lived security logs.Supabase

Map codes you share with friends are created on your device and copied by you. We don't upload or store them. Gridlock 3D doesn't send notifications, and its fonts and graphics are built into the app.

We don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it to build a profile of you. The game is fully playable offline. If you never go online, nothing leaves your device.

Optional play statistics

If you choose YES when the game asks (or turn on Settings → Stats), Gridlock 3D sends anonymous gameplay statistics: when a session starts, the mode and junction of each run with a rounded score and wreck count, your total stars, which modes you've unlocked, streak freezes used, and how many days since you opted in. These are tied to a random number created on your device, not to your account, name, email, device or advertising identifiers, and are used only to understand which parts of the game are fun or frustrating. Turning stats off stops sending and deletes that random number from your device. We keep these statistics for up to 400 days. The web demo never sends them.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process this information because it's needed to provide the game features you use (leaderboards, cloud save, sign-in, garage-key restore, feedback and early access). That is in our legitimate interest and yours. Optional play statistics are sent only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings. None of it is used for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep your player profile, scores and cloud save until you delete them, which you can do yourself at any time (see below). We may also remove profiles that have been inactive for more than 24 months. Optional play statistics are deleted automatically after 400 days. Because they aren't linked to you, we can't find or delete an individual player's statistics on request, but turning stats off stops them immediately.

Deleting your data

In the game, tap ONLINE → Delete my online data on the title screen. This immediately and permanently deletes your anonymous profile, your leaderboard scores, your cloud save, your garage key and any linked Apple or Google sign-in (and we revoke the Apple sign-in with Apple). If Gridlock 2D uses the same garage key or sign-in, its online data is deleted too. Progress stored on your device stays until you uninstall the app or clear its data. If you can't use the app, you can request deletion by email.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email gridlock2d.app@gmail.com. We usually don't know who you are, so include your player name and, if you have one, your garage key or the email address you signed in with, so we can find your profile. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Gridlock 3D is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has used the game online, email us and we'll delete the profile.

Security

All data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Database rules make sure each cloud save can only be read by the player it belongs to.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the app ever starts collecting anything new, we'll update this page before that version is released.
