Gridlock 2D: Car Crash Chaos (Android and iOS, app ID com.gridlock2d.game) · Last updated 5 October 2026
This policy explains what the Gridlock 2D app does with information about you. The app is made by Kayani Labs ("we", "us"), which is responsible for the information described here. Contact: gridlock2d.app@gmail.com.
In short: no ads, no analytics or tracking, no real-money purchases, and we never ask for your location, contacts or photos. Signing in is optional. To run online leaderboards and cloud saves, the game creates an anonymous player profile that holds your player name, your scores and a copy of your game progress.
What we process and why
| Information | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress (in-game cash, cars, stars, settings) | So the game remembers your progress | Stored on your phone. A copy is also kept as your cloud save (see below). |
| Anonymous player ID | Created automatically the first time the game goes online, so your scores and cloud save belong to you. It isn't linked to your name or email address unless you choose to sign in (see below). | Our backend provider, Supabase (servers in London, UK) |
| Player name (handle) | Shown next to your scores on the public daily and weekly leaderboards. The game picks a random name for you, and you can change it. | Supabase. Visible to other players. |
| Scores (your daily and weekly bests) | Leaderboards | Supabase. Visible to other players, next to your player name. |
| Cloud save (a copy of your game progress) | So a garage key can restore your progress on a new phone | Supabase. Only you can read it. |
| Sign-in account (optional) | If you tap Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive an account ID from Apple or Google and, if you share it, your email address (Apple lets you hide it behind a private relay address). We use them only to link your player profile so you can restore your progress on another device. We never show them to other players or email you. If you use Sign in with Apple, we also keep a token Apple issues for it, only so that we can revoke your Apple sign-in when you delete your account. | Supabase |
| Garage key (optional) | If you tap GET KEY, the game creates a random key for restoring your save. We store login details derived from that key, not an email address of yours. | Supabase |
| IP address and basic connection data | Every internet connection needs these. Our providers may keep short-lived security logs. | Supabase; Apple or Google if you sign in with them |
Reminders like "your daily reward is ready" are scheduled on your phone by the app. No notification data is sent to us. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
We don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it to build a profile of you. The game is fully playable offline. If you never go online, nothing leaves your phone.
Legal basis (UK GDPR)
We process this information because it's needed to provide the game features you use (leaderboards, cloud save, sign-in and garage-key restore). That is in our legitimate interest and yours. None of it is used for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your player profile, scores and cloud save until you delete them, which you can do yourself at any time (see below). We may also remove profiles that have been inactive for more than 24 months.
Deleting your data
In the game, go to Stats → Delete my online data. This immediately and permanently deletes your anonymous profile, your leaderboard scores, your cloud save, your garage key and any linked Apple or Google sign-in (and we revoke the Apple sign-in with Apple). If Gridlock 3D uses the same garage key or sign-in, its online data is deleted too. Progress stored on your phone stays until you uninstall the app or clear its data. If you can't use the app, you can request deletion by email.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email gridlock2d.app@gmail.com. We usually don't know who you are, so include your player name and, if you have one, your garage key or the email address you signed in with, so we can find your profile. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
Gridlock 2D is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has used the game online, email us and we'll delete the profile.
Security
All data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Database rules make sure each cloud save can only be read by the player it belongs to.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the app ever starts collecting anything new, we'll update this page before that version is released.
